Hi I just wanna add something to Akon, and if any one can fill in the gaps please do.

Akon served time for car theft and so his album Troubled came out. Whether this was a reflection on what had happened to him, we are still waiting for him to tell us. But after listening to the songs on the album, I think it makes things clear. Being the Son of Jazz musician Mor Thiam he was introduced to many variation of music genre and so this helped him grow as an artist.
He has worked with many well known artists such as, Eminem, Obie Trice, Snoop Dog, Styles P. His music was used in the series CSI using the track called Snitch he also appeared in this episode….

I thought Akon got in trouble for hooking up with a girl he met in an over 21 club that was under 16 he talks about it in his song.

I can add that with all that has been going on the the music world, Akon and Michael Jackson have got together to create the new track “wanna be starting something”. MJ actually created a new vocal for the track as they wanted it to be new, it’s not a remix but completely new and I have to say I think it’s great…..

Good info. I had a thought that it was just a remix of the early 1980's. I haven't heard the old version.
